Lamborghini Islero

 

The Islero was the successor off the 400GT 2+2, 225 where built from '68 till '69, debuting on the motorshow off Geneva in 1968. It was designed by Mario Marazzi who also was responsible for the production off the bodywork. Based on the 400GT it wasn't a completely new car. The name Islero came from a bull who killed the famous matador Manuel Rodriguez in 1947. After 125 cars where built a revised version followed called the Islero GTS. It had a more powerfull engine (350HP), bigger brakes and a revised suspension.
